When a deal closes through Know A Guy, we take a small fee from the deal. Shown upfront. No surprises.
Worked example
- · Need posted with a £10,000 fee. Done by a service provider, introduced by you.
- · Introducer's cut (set by the poster): £2,000. Comes out of the deal.
- · Platform fee (Know A Guy): 10% of the introducer's cut = £200.
- · You receive: £1,800. The service provider receives the remaining £8,000.

How much does Know A Guy cost to join?
Nothing. Joining and browsing are free. You only pay when a deal closes through the platform.
How much does it cost to post a need?
Nothing. Posting a brief is free. The fee on the brief is what you'll pay the person who fulfils it.
What's the platform fee?
We take a small platform fee on every deal that closes through Know A Guy, in addition to the introducer's cut. The exact percentage is shown before you accept a deal.
Does Know A Guy hold the money?
No, not in v1. Payouts are recorded on-platform and settled manually by the Know A Guy team. Stripe-backed escrow is coming.
Who pays the introducer's cut?
The demand side (the business posting the need) pays. The introducer's cut comes out of the deal, not your pocket.
What if a deal goes wrong?
Open a dispute from the deal page. The Know A Guy team handles it manually and can claw back fees if the agreement was breached.
Do I have to be a UK business?
Yes for v1. The platform is UK-focused and currency is GBP.
